Jupiter Sextile Chiron ~ July 2, 2011

Original image source unknown.

With the Eclipsed New Moon in Cancer having just occurred the previous day, the perfection of Jupiter sextile Chiron encourages and allows for whatever healing we may need in our lives. Perhaps, we've lost hope or trust in ourselves/others/the universe. Maybe, we've been afraid to face facts or step out and take a chance to make a real change. Or we've seen what's real, become aware of the true nature of the challenges we face now and are feeling frustrated, angry, confused, desperate, or even betrayed.

Jupiter reminds us of the best that life can offer, gives hope, offers opportunities, and expands our horizon. Chiron has a way of unmasking our wounds, revealing our deepest pain/disappointments/loss, and through facing them, we are made whole. Jupiter represents expansion, luck, happiness, and abundance. He is currently in Taurus, where his energy seeks comfort and stability. Chiron symbolizes what's broken, needs healing, and our capacity to help others through their healing process. He is presently in the super compassionate and uber-intuitive sign of Pisces.

Jupiter's sextile to Chiron reminds us to breathe, have faith, and let the healing process run its course -- may it be physical, mental, emotional, psychological, or financial healing. The work, however, must always begin with the self; this time especially, with the New Moon/Solar Eclipse preceding Jupiter's sextile to Chiron. What we sow is what we reap. Where our attentions are focused on, our realities become them. "Energy flows where attentions goes."

If you're like me, you've been diligently and consciously steering your thoughts and energy toward what's positive, uplifting, and towards the goal. Yet, your reality seems to fight you every step of the way. If you're wondering, "how can it be that my thoughts and attentions are truly focused on the outcome desired, yet the hurdles I have to jump over doesn't look to have an end anytime soon?"

For me, the answer was me -- it was me I had to first change. Maybe that's Capricorn-Pluto opposing my Sun while Aries-Uranus square my Sun and oppose my Uranus talking, but I realized my thoughts are focused on one thing while my actions reflect something else entirely. They're both equally important -- what I have my sights set on (reflect my thoughts) and what my world in the physical plane requires of me (reflect my actions). I had to make changes and somehow fit into my already full schedule, time for what will help me accomplish my other set of goals...the ones I'm truly passionate about. Pluto is forcing me to eliminate (square to my Sun), as Uranus pushes me to break away (square my Sun) and carve out a new path (oppose my Uranus), while the Solar Eclipse in my sign casts a spotlight on me.

June began with a Gemini-Solar Eclipse (where we were asked to completely 'see' things as they truly are); followed by Jupiter sextile Neptune (where we were asked, "what's your dream?"); then came the Lunar Eclipse (that brought out questions about our life direction); as if all that heavy, intense energy weren't enough, we find ourselves with yet another Solar Eclipse, in Cancer this time (where we were once again thought this time, forced to 'see' our reality). And now, here we are with an offering for healing with Jupiter and Chiron. Next week, Jupiter and Pluto (transformation), both in Earth signs, become allies to offer up some sense of grounding while we begin or continue to go through the changes required of us.

Jupiter sextile Chiron occurs on July 2nd at 5° 14' of Taurus (fixed sign) and Pisces (mutable sign). Those born around February 22-25 and April 24-27 or those with natal planets/house angles near 6° of fixed and/or mutable signs may be more sensitive to this Jupiter-Chiron sextile. Those celebrating a birthday on the days approaching to this sextile's perfection may find this energy present throughout their Solar Return year (astrological birthday year).

This is the first of three occurrences. Jupiter will once again sextile Chiron on December 6, 2011 at zero° 57' and a final time on February 15, 2012 at 4° 32'. Those with natal planets/house angles near these degrees or have a strong Chironic influence in their birth chart may experience this Jupiter-Chiron sextile more thoroughly than others.

Jupiter Sextile Neptune ~ June 8, 2011

What's your dream? Jupiter (abundance) sextiles Neptune (enlightenment) on June 8th. This first half of June is a good time to be reminded of our idealism. Getting back in touch with our dreams can go a long way into giving hope to difficult life events or impossible situations. Regaining our sense of wonder and faith help offer an alternate perspective into an existing issue.

Jupiter reminds us of the best that life can offer. Neptune urges us to look beyond the tangible world. Jupiter represents expansion, luck, happiness, and opportunities. He is currently in Taurus, where his energy seeks comfort and stability. Neptune governs the subconscious world, spirituality, visions, and imagination. She is presently in her home sign of Pisces.

Elsewhere in the sky and on the day that Jupiter and Neptune perfect their sextile, Chiron (healing), who is also transiting Pisces, stations for retrograde motion. As he turns his focus inward, Chiron reinforces the Neptunian/Piscean spiritual/intuitive/reflective nature.

Take advantage of their alliance by broadening your interests, stepping out of your comfort zone, or cultivating a more spiritual approach to daily life. Keep in mind that, at worst, Jupiter can be overzealous or overly optimistic, and Neptune can be confusing or too much of an escapist. So although, this may not be the time take action towards achieving your dreams, it's an ideal time to awaken your conscious self to whatever unconscious or semi-conscious drives you may have. What you eventually do with whatever's unmasked is up to you :)

Jupiter sextile Neptune occurs at almost 1 degree of Taurus (fixed sign) and Pisces (mutable sign). Those born around February 18-21 and April 19-22 or those with natal planets/house angles near 1 degree of fixed or mutable signs may be more sensitive to this Jupiter-Neptune sextile.

Unsure if you have natal planets/house planets near 1 degree of fixed or mutable signs? Cast your own birth chart at alabe.com for use as reference -- birth date, time, and place required.

Alternatively, I am also available for personal consultations tailored to your needs. Are you celebrating a birthday? Or know someone who is? Schedule your session for a Solar Return (birthdays) or 3-Chart Reading (detailed natal & overall outlook for the next 12 months) or request a quote for a more customized reading tailored to your needs. Mercury & Mars Link Up with Uranus & Neptune

Change Your Mind by davespertineWeeks ago on September 15, when Saturn opposed Uranus, we were urged to shed the old and embrace the new. On October 4, the subject matter of release and change are revisited when Mercury (mind) and Mars (drive) harmonize while both link up with Uranus (awakening) and Neptune (insight).

This time the message is more specific -- we are to awaken the self to its own thought process. Decision, actions, and motivation are all seeded by thought and ideas. Whether we believe we can do something, achieve success, embark on a new project or think we can't be successful, that what we desire is impossible, that we have no support -- all of these begin in the mind.

What thoughts do we choose to entertain? What ideas do we opt to believe in? What plans do we pick are probable or improbable? Hmmm...

Does our thought process require renewal or adjustment? Are we our biggest obstacle, keeping us from that which we desire? Be awakened (Uranus) and enlightened (Neptune) to what truly motivates (Mars) us and adjust the way we think (Mercury) about them. Elsewhere in the sky, Venus (relationships/self-worth) in analytical Virgo is fatefully at odds with Jupiter (expansiveness) in forward-thinking Aquarius. Examine ... without mental boundaries. Free the mind of what binds and welcome clarity.

This celestial get together occurs at 24 degrees of Virgo (Mercury), Pisces (Uranus), Cancer (Mars), and Aquarius (Neptune). Those born with natal planets and/or house angles on or around 24 degrees of these four zodiac signs may be influenced stronger than most. Mercury was last at 24 degrees in Virgo on August 20 and September 24. Events or situations from on or around these dates may resurface now seeking resolution or perhaps just a reflection.

For me, this gathering falls in my natal 12th house while transiting Mercury, Uranus, and Neptune touch my natal Mercury and natal Saturn; and transiting Venus and Jupiter link up with my natal Moon. It's time to uncover what lies in the subconscious (12th house), break away from old ways (natal Saturn), get to the heart of the matter (natal Moon), and make changes beginning with how I think and communicate (natal Mercury).

The time for change is now. We remain under the auspicious umbrella of the Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune triple conjunction and the Saturn-Uranus opposition. Change is often not easy and can even be gut-wrenchingly painful but change is the only constant thing in life. Do you choose to flow with it or resist it?

Worth a mention ~ Full Moon in Aries at 2:10 a.m. Eastern (October 3 11:10 p.m. Pacific). Happenings today may be fueled by the tension created by the opposition between the Libra-Sun and Aries-Moon.

Mercury Sextile Mars ~ Sep. 30 to Oct. 4, 2009

Agua by Andy MumfordBrakes are off! Fired up! Ready to go! Ready for action?! Ensure they driven with purpose for optimum, intended results.

On September 29, Mercury stops, turns, changes directions. As he gets re-acclimated to moving forward again, Mercury (thought) will sextile Mars (action) on September 30 (Pacific time) and October 1 (Eastern time). We will remain under the umbrella of their connection until October 4 when their link perfects again which is also the same day as the Aries-Full Moon. Mercury now retraces his steps from 21 degrees of Virgo to 6 degrees of Libra for a third pass; third time is a charm, right?

Mercury is currently in Virgo, where his mind is sharp, analytical, and discriminating; and in conversation, he is friendly, chatty, and animated. Mars has been transiting Cancer since August 25. In Cancer, Mars' fiery impetuousness is stabilized in Cancer's sometimes calm waves and other times torrential waters. Decisions are usually more emotionally based and actions intuitively driven. The combination of this opportunistic link between these two planets gives the chance to put in motion what may have been put in the back burner, especially while Mercury was in retrograde. Mercury's intellectual and practical mind will give Mars pragmatism behind his actions/decision. So, let's get a move on! Make things happen!

During the timeline below, we benefit from the promises of the Mercury-Mars sextile energy (all dates reflect Eastern time zone unless otherwise noted; give +/-2 days for life span of influence):

  • September 30 (Pacific) / October 1 (Eastern) ~ Mercury sextile Mars. Mercury & Mars quincunx Chiron. In addition to their alignment with each other, Mercury and Mars also link up and require adjustment with Chiron (wounds). We are offered the opportunity to release old wounds, including ones that mentally bind us from venturing past our comfort zone. Alternatively, we also have the chance to be of service to another and help them "heal" or repair what may be broken. Mercury returns to the same degree he was in on August 18. Perhaps what needs resolution or release may be related to issues or events on or around August 18.
  • October 2 ~ Adding to the Mercury-Mars sextile energy is the Pisces-Moon (emotional core) making successive alignments to Mercury (mind), Mars (action), Uranus (radical change), and Saturn (reality) today beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. Eastern. Our heart seeks to harmony with our mental activities so we can make well-informed decisions and follow through with actions that are well-planned. Keep things light today. If there is any doubt at all, refrain from making major decisions or final actions. Before the night ends, Saturn may come to the rescue and give us the clarity we seek, as he cuts through the fog of confusion.
  • October 3 ~ Apart from the Mercury-Mars energy, the sky is relatively quiet after the Aries-Moon square Pluto very early in the morning. East coasters may wake to conflicting priorities. The need for individuality and expressing one's self with compromising and conforming what's accepted. The rest of the day, however, is appropriately quiet celestially as we await the Aries-Full Moon at 11:10 p.m. Pacific and October 4 at 2:10 a.m. Eastern.
  • October 4 ~ Still at the heels of the Aries Full-Moon, Mercury and Mars perfect their alignment again. Later in the evening after 9:00 p.m. Eastern, the Aries-Moon sextile Chiron (wounds) while Mars trine Uranus (awakening). The heart experiences healing, a renewal. Our actions and decisions reflect an awakened state of being and now, having been "awakened" we are eager to begin making the changes necessary to move forward. Mercury now retraces his steps from August 20 when he passed for the first and on September 23 when he revisited while retrograde. If there are issues on or around these two dates that were unresolved, they may resurface now to finally get some type of closure.
This Mercury-Mars sextile occurs at 22 to 24 degrees of Virgo. Those born with 5 days of March 14, June 14, September 15, and December 14; and those with natal planets/house angles on or around 22 to 24 degrees of mutable signs (Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, and Sagittarius) may feel this energy more strongly than others.

Unsure if you have natal planets/house planets at these degrees? Cast your own birth chart for use as reference -- birth date, time, and place required. Or request a quote for a paid personalized reading. (both links open a new window)

Sun Sextile Uranus & Square Jupiter

A Prelude to Collective Awakening

On May 15, the grounded and purposeful Sun in Taurus will make connections with Uranus and Jupiter that encourages an awakening (Uranus) of our conscious will (Sun) to possibilities (Jupiter) and begins a series of stellar events reinforcing the auspicious meeting between Jupiter, Chiron, and Neptune, which climaxes on May 23-May 27.

The following day, May 16, the Moon (emotional core) forms a favorable alignment with Venus (love) and Mars (motivation), giving meaning to our actions. The Sun (our potential) tenses up with Chiron, where our wounds, fears, and vulnerabilities become exposed, allowing us to address their healing once and for all. Before night's end, the Moon blends energies with Jupiter (ideals), Chiron (healing), and Neptune (inspiration), granting us hopefulness for opportunities arising from a renewal and change (Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune conjunction). Also, Saturn (reality) changes direction, unblocking any "stuck" energies and opening the path for productivity.

By early next morning, May 17, the Moon will tense up with the Sun and blend energies with Jupiter, followed by Chiron, then Neptune before she leaves the sign of Aquarius (unconventional) for Pisces (enlightened), giving our emotional drives a deeper understanding of what may have been stirred the past two days. Around this same time, a challenging link between the Taurus-Sun (sensible intentions) and Neptune (imagination) will burst bubbles to our delusions and baseless expectations. Ruling out the impossible opens up the door to what is possible.

During these three days, the Sun-Moon alignments to Jupiter, Chiron, and Neptune (spiritual bodies) stimulate our conscious will (Sun) and subconscious drive (Moon), preparing us for the awareness that is necessary to take advantage of the promises offered in the upcoming Jupiter-Chiron-Neptune union. The Sun's growing cohesion with Mercury (still retrograde) allows for an alternate point of view as we reflect on issues surrounding our present.

Are you ready next week when the planet of luck and expansion taps into the healing powers of Chiron (May 23) and spiritual enlightenment offered by Neptune (May 27)? Sandwiched between these exciting meetings is the New Moon in Gemini (May 24), offering a renewal to our thought patterns, communication, and interaction with one another.

A Time for Healing

Late afternoon, Eastern time, on April 14, 2009, the Moon (inner self, emotions) harmoniously links herself to the Sun (outer self, ego), Chiron (wounds, healing), and Neptune (insight, healing). That same evening, the Sun's growing optimistic alignments with Chiron and Neptune become exact. This fortuitous event signals a time to heal the self, internally & externally.

How am I broken? What needs healing in my life? What wounds do I have that hinder me from moving forward? Someone once brokenhearted cannot forget the hurt associated with love and is unable to fully give the self to another in a new relationship. A woman driven by jealousy is unable to trust her partner, who has given no cause for the distrust. A man who made a costly decision is now afraid to take any type or level of risk. An adult, who as a child struggled to have basic needs met, loses hope for a better future. So many ways each of us could be broken, carrying wounds unnecessarily throughout our lives.

While Venus (love) continues to be within Pluto's (empowerment) grasp, we are able to love and value the self enough in order to dig deep -- layer upon layer, past the symptoms to find the true source of whatever may ail us. With Mercury (thoughts) in Taurus, our mind is stable and practical. He begins an easy connection with Saturn (reality) which might help give clarity to what is revealed as we dig deep. Use the Mars-Uranus energy to act and break away from what has become the established norm, push through the pain, the disappointment, the doubt, the fear, and rise above. Heal the self and move freely towards the life of your dreams.
