Saturn Square Pluto ~ November 15, 2009

Bookmark and Share

Ouch! So, it begins ... Saturn, the Taskmaster, entered Libra on October 29, a sign he has not visited since 1982. Saturn's focus in Libra is our relationships -- relating to partners, lovers, others. With whip in hand, Saturn's target for this whip lashing on November 15 is Pluto, the Annihilator, who is currently in Capricorn.

In Capricorn, Pluto takes a look at structure, foundation, and proven methods that may no longer be applicable to present life and living. Just because something has always been doesn't mean it should always be. There is no progress and no personal growth in keeping antiquated ways, ideas, values, and rules.

With Saturn and Pluto warring in the sky above us, we are forced to take a serious look at our relationships and/or what we hold on to for the sake of familiarity or even fear of the unknown, should we ever let go. In our waking world, tensions rise. We argue. We fight. We remain frustrated. Something has to give. Perhaps that something lies within us. Perhaps the first step depends upon the self.

Saturn disciplines us through restrictions while Pluto deepens our understanding through unearthing secrets; secrets others keep from us or ones we hide from the self because maybe, they are too difficult to accept. As an added bonus for us earthlings *sarcasm*, Saturn and Pluto will continue their battle for much of 2010, perfecting their alignments again on January 31 and August 21 next year.

Between Saturn showing us our realities, Pluto revealing hidden truths and this energy lingering for several months, there will undoubtedly be global effects of this alignment. On a personal level, however, expect to get to the nitty gritty, purge the unnecessaries, and arrive at a destination breathing in new life as a newer, stronger, more improved version of the self.

Elsewhere in the sky on November 15, the Sun's alignments to Uranus and the Triple Conjunction provide that additional swift kick as if Saturn and Pluto need any help with making us feel like we're between a rock and a hard place.

Although none of us are immune to the challenges imposed by Saturn and Pluto, early born cardinal signs or those with natal planets/house angles on or near zero to 2 degrees of cardinal signs may catch the brunt of this tension. Unsure if you have planets or angles on or around zero degree of cardinal signs, cast your own birth chart -- birth date, time, and place required. Full Moon in Taurus ~ November 2, 2009

Bookmark and Share

There is a highly active sky during this Full Moon in Taurus on November 2 at 2:14 p.m. (ET). The Moon is said to be exalted in Taurus. Perhaps the Moon's greatest "weakness" might be that she's too changeable. It isn't that she can't make up her mind or stick to it. Her decisions are based on her feelings/intuition. Her emotions vacillate as often as she moves one degree every few hours within the sign she is transiting and as she changes zodiac signs every few days. She dons the personality and experiences the wealth emotions from twelve different signs in about 30 days. On top of that, she waxes, wanes, eclipses ... and more recently, was bombed by the Earth when she so kindly helps keep the Earth habitable!

Taurus is the bull -- steadfast and reliable, with feet firmly on the ground. Taurus is also comfort-seeking which is a huge plus for the Moon. Simply put, Taurus offers the Moon what she needs -- emotional security -- which is probably all she really wants sometimes ... to be able to feel, yet not get lost in them or be driven to action solely by them.

It's just as well that this Full Moon is in the sign that gives her stability. Both the Sun and the Moon link up with Mercury (thought/communication) while all three are in conflict with Mars (action/aggression). Careful not to respond to any situation with frustration or anger. It's counterproductive, and we may also later regret our actions/decisions.

Elsewhere in the sky and contributing to the energies of the Full Moon are Saturn (the taskmaster) and Pluto (the destroyer) in the backdrop in their fighting stance as their own challenging link to each other grows stronger. Venus (love & money) in Libra (relationships) won't be left out as she forms her own alignments with Neptune (the enlightened one) and Uranus (the mover and the shaker).

The stability of our relationships and finances may be what's at the core of this full moon. The strengthening tension between Saturn and Pluto suggests we have yet to thoroughly examine or fully understand or completely accept our situation/s. More information and/or perhaps less options may be in store for the next two weeks. What we finally to act upon (Mars) should ideally be concluded from much mental deliberation (Mercury) that reflects the wishes of both our conscious will (Sun) and our heart (Moon). There is the danger of impatience with Mars eager and confident in Leo. For Mars, Mercury in Scorpio may be moving too slow in researching and deciding upon a course of action, while the Sun and Moon continue to seek harmony and balance.

With Uranus in play and Neptune soon to be in direct motion, expect the unexpected during this full moon phase. It may be necessary for something to end but keep a look out for a door ajar or window cracked open and waiting for you peer in. Don't hesitate to create your own opportunities. Uranus and Neptune are in mutual reception while they transit each other's signs. They are both linked to Venus during this Full Moon, so there is room for hopefulness. But Saturn and Pluto must insist that there is work to be done. Just make sure that the work being done reflects upon what you truly desire on the inside (Moon) and out (Sun).

How will this full moon influence your birth chart? Match the sign and degree to determine what house this full moon will illuminate. Use the list of zodiac signs below to identify the sign Taurus on your birth chart then click here for a brief explanation on the Full Moon transit in that house.

Neptune Direct ~ November 4, 2009

Bookmark and Share

Neptune. Credit and Copyright to InertiaKFinally! The last of the triple conjunction planets in retrograde stations on November 4 at 1:10 p.m. ET and prepares for direct movement. Neptune has been retrograde since May 29.

Neptune is natively introspective and lives in the realm of the unseen world. At best, she is our acute intuitive sense, our dreams, our imagination, our compassion. At worst, she is the fog that clouds our mind, causing indecision, confusion ... escape when avoidance is not the answer.

While Neptune strolled back to where she'd been, we might have been thrown deeper into our own psyche. In Aquarius, Neptune is a visionary, rebellious, unpredictable, and driven by humanitarian causes. Aquarian ways are inventive, innovative, and progressive.

Have we conjured up fresh ways of doing something that's routine? Perhaps an alternate approach to a long-standing situation? Or a new perspective to an old view? Have we been awakened to caring beyond our selves, our lives? Do we now imagine how truly interconnected each of us are? Why not let me know by heading over to the AstroCreeps and TarotFreaks Forum* to start or join in on a discussion :)

Chiron Direct ~ October 31, 2009

Bookmark and Share

Following Pluto's and Jupiter's leads, Chiron stations on October 31 and will soon be moving forward, up to his normal speed. Then, a week later Neptune will follow suit and end her retrograde cycle.

Like both Pluto and Jupiter, it's been five months since Chiron was last in forward motion. During these past months, Chiron retraced his steps from 26 degrees back to 21 degrees of Aquarius. What natal house/s did Chiron pass through twice for you? As he moves forward again, he'll pass through this house/these houses for a third time this year. Maybe third time's a charm :)

Chiron represents our figurative "wounds" and what needs "healing" or release. Often these are deeply-rooted emotional pain or old ideals/habits/behavior/precepts; something so ingrained that it's second "skin," completely attached to the self and peeling it off is so excruciatingly painful that having to carry the weight of its burden is ... "easier." Or maybe it WAS easier. With Jupiter and Neptune passing through some of the same degrees in Aquarius that Chiron did these past months, we might have gained insight (Neptune) to what is possible (Jupiter). Now, breaking away (Aquarius) from set ways and releasing (Chiron) old wounds has become a stronger resolve (Pluto in Capricorn) than continuing to carry unnecessary burdens as we have been. So as Chiron and the last of the retrograde planets, Neptune, begins moving forward, we too are ready and willing to let go and move on.

Check out Starcana's Tarot affirmations post on "The Hanged Man - Adjustment" at the Astrology Creeps and Tarot Freaks blog. It seems, to me, appropriate.

Chiron stations on October 31 at 1:45 a.m. ET and by November 13, he'll be moving at his regular speed. How has Chiron's transit influenced you this year thus far? Let me know ... Hop on over to the AstroCreeps and TarotFreaks Forum* and start or join a discussion.

Saturn in Libra - Oct. 29, 2009 to Oct. 5, 2012

Libra. Credit and Copyright to endrju100Whew!! Virgo-Suns and Virgo-Risings are breathing a sigh of relief! Finally, the taskmaster and his whip, which he enjoys using generously, are finally leaving Virgo to enter Libra. On October 29 at 1:09 p.m. ET, Saturn will test the Libran air for a few months until April 7, 2010. Then, while retrograde, he briefly returns to Virgo, before settling in Libra for the long haul. Saturn's re-entry in Libra is on July 21, 2010, where he remains through October 5, 2012.

Saturn is said to be exalted (best placement; greatest strength) in Libra. Saturn is the taskmaster of the zodiac whose karmic lessons, once learned, remain with each of us throughout our lives. He represents reality, challenges, structure, foundation, obstacles, hard work, obligations, restrictions, and limitations. He is cold, distant, stoic, determined, persistent ... all business. His function, as he transits through the houses of our birth charts, is to teach us our life lessons.

Libra governs partnerships, relationships, and the ties that bind us through commitment. By nature, Libra is objective, fair-minded, logical, social, charming, friendly, peaceable, seeks balance, and appreciates the aesthetic beauty in its surroundings. Saturn in Libra teaches us about the challenges in relationships, the commitment and work required for healthy connections, the equality and justice within our partnerships, and the objectivity that is sometimes needed especially when passions, emotions, and righteousness arise

Those born between 1982 and 1984 may be experiencing their first Saturn Return (embarking on adulthood); and those born 1952 to 1954 may be going through their second Saturn Return (decisions made during the first Saturn Return often determine the ease or difficulty of the second return). Saturn Returns represent the end of one life cycle and beginning of the next phase.

On the day of Saturn's initial entrance in Libra, Venus is also transiting Libra to help us (and Saturn) get adjusted to the personality change Saturn undergoes. Venus governs our relationships and also rules the zodiac sign Libra. In Virgo, Saturn is practical, analytical, rigid, meticulous, exacting, detailed. In Libra, Saturn is freer to think, move, socialize, interact; it's less about perfection and more about the experience. A few weeks later on November 15, Saturn will begin his stressful square dance with Pluto. This influence lasts through most of 2010 as they square off exactly, move away a little, get closer again, and repeat a few times.

For me, as a late decan Virgo-Rising, most of Saturn's transit in Libra will happen in my natal 1st house (self/potential) while still influencing my natal 2nd house (income/self-worth) which is the house actually ruled by Libra; and as a Cancer-Sun, he will visit my solar 4th house (family/home). Saturn's lesson during his transit in Libra, after having just left my natal 12th (subconscious) and solar 3rd (mind), may be to practice what I've learned/been made aware of mentally. His recent visit through my natal 12 and solar 3rd houses illuminated some things that's been "hidden" from my conscious self. Having been awakened, I'm compelled to act upon them. Money may be tight for a while, and I may have to continue employing some creative budgeting :-) But handling finances is one of his lessons when transiting one's 2nd house. As Saturn turns on the pressure in my natal 1st house of conscious will and personal potential, challenges lie ahead as obligations and my role within the family unit undergo a significant "shift."

What significance do planets, signs, and houses have in astrology? Planets have the function, the job to do. The style/manner they will use get that job done is defined by the zodiac sign they occupy. Where in our life the job gets done is determined by the house the planet occupies/transits. So, when Mars (aggression) is in Aries (bold), he is more assertive than when he is in Cancer (sensitive). When traveling through the 10th house (professional life), he may bring his confidence and motivation in matters relating to our career. While in the 11th house (friendships), we may be more inclined to having our social calendar packed with activities. Having the foresight for what may be coming up or receiving confirmation on what may be happening now are ways astrology can be beneficial ... as above, so below.

Mercury in Scorpio ~ Oct. 28 to Nov. 15, 2009

    Bookmark and Share

Mercury leaves charming Libra and spends the next few weeks in Scorpio, where we are compelled to get to the root of all the "whys." From 6:08 a.m. (ET) on October 28 to November 15, expect interactions to be more intense, conversations to deepen, and curiosity to go way beyond what may be appropriate. Mercury represents how we think, talk, interact, and react. In the depths of Scorpion waters, our mind turns to what's beneath the surface level. It's not about what is tangible or logically provable, it's about where it's rooted. What do I mean by this?

For example, let's paint a picture of what it might be like to meet a successful, young entrepreneur. Most would be impressed by what he has achieved at such a young age and leave it at that. Perhaps, another might look a little further into his background by learning about his business model or the genius that made him a success. Mercury in Scorpio, however, will ferret out that this young entrepreneur came from a broken home where neither parents were educated; that, at a very young age, he decided with unyielding determination that his adult life will be different; and that indeed, he has made that his life's work.

At best, Mercury in Scorpio is eerily attuned to the innerworkings of the psyche and unseen world. It's a mind that is determined, committed, and unrelenting. Penetrating. Deep understanding. Conversations are meaningful. At worst, Scorpio-Mercury is stubborn, paranoid, quick to judge, fearful, distrustful, and unwilling to try if success is not assured.

While Mercury is in Scorpio, he will make connections with the following celestial bodies on (all dates reflect Eastern time zone; give +/-2 days for life span of influence):
    • October 28 ~ Mercury sextile Pluto. Focus. Concentration. Analytical mind. A few days ago, the Sun and Pluto will have just been in a sextile, giving us depth and intensity in our interactions and ability to seek within the self. What may have been revealed then may come to mind now.
    • November 1 ~ Mercury square Mars. Rash actions. Quick temper. Conflict with each party/parties involved unwilling to concede or compromise. Prepare for a day filled with anger, frustration, irritation if those involved are unable to agree to disagree.
    • November 5 ~ Mercury conjunct Sun. Need for control. Penetrating mind. Strong ability for focus. Able to cut through the fog of indecision and arrive at clarity. Verbal interactions may be heavier, more intense than the usual banter. Curiosity peaks and requires to be satisfied.
    • November 8 ~ Mercury square Jupiter. Big dreams? Have faith? Feeling hopeful? That's fine. Just avoid committing to anything you can't actually deliver. Overoptimism easy now. Don't be a show off. Allow actions to speak louder than words.
    • November 10 to 11 ~ Mercury square Chiron & Neptune and trine Uranus. Mercury's square with Chiron helps identify possible obstacles in achieving goals. Let this "ceiling" give us the foresight of what limitations or hurdles we may have to work around or jump over in order to continue toward our objectives. So go ahead and dream big. One foot is firmly stepping on solid ground.

Sun in Scorpio ~ October 23 to November 21, 2009

    Bookmark and Share

The Sun leaves the social sign of Libra for the more introspective Scorpio on October 23 at 2:43 a.m. (ET), where he remains through November 21. Those of us who are naturally a water Sun sign or whose birth charts are heavily influenced by water may find the Sun’s transit in Scorpio a little more familiar and with our intuition on hyperdrive :-)

Air and Earth Sun signs, don’t try to find logic when there seems none. Just practice listening to that inner voice of yours...yes, it's there. We all have it. Some of us just get more practice than others. Clarity and reassurance may be more likely found through insight versus reason or tangible proof during the Sun’s transit in Scorpio.

The Sun represents our ego, conscious will, and potential which includes our hidden potential that is inherent but undiscovered. In Libra, the Sun’s focus is on our relationships, interactions, and balancing the needs/desires of the self with that of another’s/others. In Scorpio, the Sun also illuminates our relationships but through a in depth understanding of them. After all, Scorpios are all about what lies beneath the surface and not just satisfying the five senses. They must get to the core which lies beneath the layers. Scorpios, after all, are the investigators/researchers of the zodiac. Driven by their unending curiosity coupled with their strong intuition, they must have complete understanding of people, situations, or things; anything less is unacceptable.

The Sun’s transit in Scorpio urges us to dig deeper. Seek the source instead of just identifying the symptoms. It is through this deeper, fuller understanding that allows us to push through, become empowered, and then transformed. What in our self do we need a transformation in? The way we think? Interact? Trust?

While the Sun is in Scorpio, he will make alignments with the following celestial bodies (all dates reflect Eastern time zone; give +/-2 days for life span of influence):
    • October 24 ~ Sun sextile Pluto. Intensity. Need for control. Tap into hidden, natural talents/abilities. Personal empowerment gained through awareness and wholehearted acceptance of truths, even if they are painful or harsh or not what's expected.
    • October 29 ~ Sun square Mars. Willful determination can still produce intended results if stubbornness is taken out of the equation. Otherwise, you're just fighting for the sake of fighting. Don't lose sight of the objective. Agree to disagree if that is what will achieve the desired outcome.
    • November 5 ~ Sun conjunct Mercury. Penetrating mind. Strong ability for focus. Verbal interactions may be heavier, more intense than the usual banter. Curiosity peaks and requires to be satisfied.
    • November 2 ~ Full Moon in Taurus at 2:14 p.m. (EST)
    • November 10 ~ Sun square Jupiter. Dream big, yes. Just keep one foot rooted on the ground. With Mercury and Chiron also square, it's easy to see the obstacles to the big dream. Let this "ceiling" give us the foresight of what limitations or hurdles we may have to work around or jump over in order to continue toward the goal.
    • November 13 ~ Sun square Chiron. Ouch. Deep cuts. Feel like salt on your open wounds? Double ouch! Awareness is key that leads to acceptance so healing can begin. Help another if your aid is requested, but no judging.
    • November 14 ~ Sun trine Uranus. Opportunities from unlikely places/sources. Expect the unexpected. It's ok to have an abrupt change of mind or feel the need to break away and venture on your own.
    • November 15 ~ Sun square Neptune. Avoid getting lost in your head/dreams/visions. Life is about living ... and sometimes, living out loud! Solitude may be necessary now, just make sure you're actually spending quality time alone and not hiding or escaping.
    • November 16 ~ New Moon in Scorpio at 2:14 p.m. (EST)
How will the Sun's transit in Scorpio influence in your life? Look to the Scorpio-ruled house/s in your birth chart. Match the signs with the house cusps on your birth chart. Mars in Leo ~ Oct. 16, 2009 to June 7, 2010

    Bookmark and Share

Leo Rouge. Credit and Copyright to Zau R.Mars enters Leo for an extended stay beginning on October 16 through June 7, 2010. Wow! How fortunate for those with Leo-Suns and Ascendants/Risings!!

Mars is the planet of action, energy, and movement. He represents our physical drives, aggression, passions, anger, self-assertion, confidence, and the motivation behind our efforts. He has been cruising through Cancer since August, where his energy is often internalized, passions exerted through emotional impulses, and is driven to action to serve another/others' needs. Mars' transit in Leo is a welcome change, I'm sure. In Leo, he is confident, strong-willed, eager to move and get results, and is driven by the self's own volition. At best, Mars in Leo is determined, ambitious, and a leader. At worst, Leo-Mars is egotistical, intolerant, and melodramatic.

While Mars is in Leo, we are urged to take action on our motivations and passions. What are we passionate about? What do we wish we are doing or achieving or participating in? With Jupiter newly direct and following Pluto's forward movement in September, what may have been "closed" to us may now be open or what we may have been waiting on may now begin to look more feasible. Soon, Chiron and Neptune will change directions and begin moving forward again as well.

Mars retrogrades from December 20, 2009 to March 10, 2010 beginning at 19 degrees of Leo all the way back to zero degrees. The retrograde's shadow cycle begins as early as October 18. What we begin to work on presently until the end of the year may not find its completion until after mid-May next year. So, practice patience and don't be discouraged if results are slow to come.

For me, as a late decan Virgo-rising, much of this transit occurs in my natal 11th house (friendships/associations) until late May 2010 when Leo-Mars enters my natal 12th house (subconscious); and as a Cancer-Sun, Mars cruises through my 2nd house (income/material worth). Perhaps, this period is when I solidify what is now supplemental income into something more stable, providing a more consistent stream of financial earnings. With the 11th house in play, this may be a more socially busy time for me which might help with networking and getting my name, services, and credibility out there.

How will this Mars transit influence your chart? Look to the natal house/s ruled by Leo. Match the signs with the house cusps on your birth chart.

Venus Square Pluto at Aries Point ~ October 15, 2009

    Bookmark and Share

Total absorption. Power play. Transformational love. Obsessiveness. Possessiveness. Sensory overdrive. Values questioned. Empowerment. Passion. Surrender. Love affairs starting during a Venus-Pluto alignment are passionate and all-consuming, but will they have lasting power? Will the push-pull, fight or flight intensity be essential to keep the flames burning, interest piqued? Existing relationships, especially those with a "rocky" history, may find this square very trying. Couples in the early stages of developing a relationship may find this time exciting, ardent, intense ... difficult not to be drawn into it. Individuals struggling with self-worth, consciously or not, may find their value system challenged. Those set in their ways -- attached or single -- may find that what has given them comfort and safety is now lacking and some sort of change is required. (as written from my previous post on Venus square Pluto last May)

This time around, however, both are in cardinal signs, at Aries Point, and Venus is in the relationship sign of Libra. Venus governs love and relationships while Pluto represents our ability to tackle life's difficulties through understanding, letting go, and becoming empowered to transform through the process.

When the planet of love battle on with the planet of transformation, it is inevitable to come out of it with some battle scars. They heal though; and over time, the scars are not nearly as noticeable.

On and around October 15, relationships (of all types) go under the microscope -- which are necessary; which are toxic; which should be nurtured more; which are a burden; which to keep; which to drop; which cause pain; which bring happiness; which promote personal growth; which give support; which are rooted in love; which are rooted in hatred or dependence.

Elsewhere in the sky on this day, the Sun and Mercury join Venus in Libra. The Libra-Sun (conscious will) is harmoniously linked to Neptune (enlightenment) and fatefully at odds with Uranus (radical change), while Mars (action) is sextile Saturn (reality). The issues/events touched on now may awaken (Uranus) to give us insight (Neptune) on what we may have been fearing or suspecting (Pluto) within a relationship (Venus); this represents all types of relationships, including that we have with the self. We are able to see through the lies to get to the truth of the situation (Saturn) so, we can act or decide (Mars) accordingly.

This year, Venus and Pluto last squared each other on May 4, then February 6 and April 3 previously. Events transpiring this time around may be linked or reminiscent to these previous dates. So, if clarity eludes or there is uncertainty, perhaps looking back may provide the information necessary or missing to make more informed choices or actions now.

Although we are all somewhat affected by this harsh alignment, those early born in cardinal signs -- Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn; as well as those with natal planets/house angles on or around zero degree of cardinal signs may feel the influence of this alignment stronger.

New Moon in Libra ~ October 17/18, 2009

    Bookmark and Share

New Moons signify rebirth, beginnings, a clean slate, the start of a new cycle. This new moon highlights Libra qualities (balance, objectivity, social graces, artfulness) and 7th house themes (relationships, partnerships, known enemies).

Libra is natively ruled by Venus, who is currently at home in Libra. In Libra, the Moon is accommodating, fair-minded, diplomatic, and charming. With the Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Venus all in Libra, this New Moon is saturated with Libra and puts a spotlight on our relationships, including our nemesis :-O

As the Moon and Sun (heart and soul) blend energies, they both form harmonious links to Neptune (insight) and Chiron (release), while also fatefully at odds with Uranus (awakening) and in conflict with the North Node (life path). Elsewhere in the sky, Saturn (obligations) also link up with the North Node (life path).

As our conscious will and inner drives unite (Sun and Moon), we become aware of how our relationships (Libra) influence the choices we make, which, in turn, affect the path/s taken in our individual journeys (North Node). Are we then closer, farther, or right where we should be when it comes to fulfilling our personal purpose? Saturn shows us our realities; Uranus awakens; Neptune enlightens; Chiron heals. What will be renewed for you during this New Moon phase?

This new moon occurs at 25 degrees of Libra on October 18 at 1:32 a.m. Eastern (October 17 at 10:32 p.m. Pacific). Those born within 3 days of October 18 or April 14; or have planets/house angles around 25 degrees of cardinal signs -- Libra, Aries, Capricorn, and Cancer -- may feel the effects of this new moon stronger than most.

For me, this New Moon falls in my solar 4th house (family/roots) and natal 1st house (self/potential); the new moon also blends energies with my natal 2nd house (personal/material value) and my Jupiter (expansiveness/ideals), while also linking to my Mercury (thinking/communication) and Midheaven (long term goals). My relationship and obligations to family and myself may not always be in sync. Historically, each take me in opposing directions. But I want to give 100% energy to both, to each ... and choosing to nurture one relationship over the other is unacceptable. Perhaps this Libra-Moon will illuminate the path to a more balance approach to satisfying both, with respect to the significance of each in my life.

How will this new moon influence your life? Look to the natal house/s this new moon will occupy in your birth chart. Match the sign and degree to the sign on the house cusp/s. Use the list below to identify the Libra zodiac sign then click here to read about the New Moon in Houses.

    A really good decision
7/30/2011 - Emily N says: I had a solar return reading last year and decided to have another this year. I am so glad I did because Jan touched on topics from last year -- what had ended and what was continuing into this year. I love it because it helps me map out my year in a way, and affirms feelings and ideas I have already been having. This reading was especially comforting and gave me clarity, confidence and more perspective on who I am and where I am going. Thanks Jan!!

6/19/2011 - Heidi S. says: I just had my first ever chart reading and went for the Triple Chart. I highly recommend it, as Jan did an amazing job pointing out what was meaningful, unique and important in my charts and helping me understand what the various positions of the planets, at my birth and now, mean for me. She is lovely to speak with, and her suggestions of how I can use the energies in my chart to help achieve what I want and avoid tensions is warm, personal, and will stay with me.

    Very Enlightening
6/19/2011 - Jodi L. says: I found the reading to be full of appliable information and explained in a way I could understand. Spot on
5/4/2011 - Domenico P. says: As an astrologer, I find it important to get a reading from a good astrologer. As I provide this service for others it is always interesting see how another reader works. I was so glad to receive a 12-month transit astrology reading from Jan. She confirmed things with accuracy and more importantly clarity. This reading enriched my own my understanding and ways of relating information as a reader. I was especially impressed by the insight of the relationships between transits and progression astrology. Thank you Jan! –Domenico Petrillo

    It was a revelation
4/19/2011 - Lissette S. says: Thank you so much Jan, everything looks much more clear! I have a very peculiar birth chart and the way Jan read it and talked about the transits and how it all plays together, has open my eyes and given me a very much needed clarity. I will definitely be coming back!

Insightful, positive reading. Perfect to start a New Year with open eyes.
1/10/2011 - Gina M. says: Jan was great; very insightful and thoughtful in the way she presented the transits. She let me know how some of the tougher transits in my reading have an ultimate positive outcome. I really appreciate knowing that, and looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel. It was insightful and a great way to start a new year. I'd recommend anyone I know to get a reading with Jan.

    Planning for the future
9/20/2010 - Jessica D. says: Jan's reading was informational, helpful, and reinforced something that I've been working towards lately: planning for the future. She helped me figure out which areas needed more attention, and suggested ways to help track the process so that I could look back and see where all my work was helping me end up. Reinforced also my search for things that make me passionate and that light me up inside. Excellent, thorough reading. Thank you Jan!

    Direction?
8/11/2010 - Jacqueline C says: This week before the New Moon in Leo I had a reading with Jan. I found it extremely informative and very relevant to what has been going on in my life the past year. It was spot on and seemed extremely apt. It gave me some comfort as to seeing that there is light at the end of the tunnel and I have to remain patient just a little longer. I recommend Jan to give anyone a reading if they feel they need a little direction in their life and understanding why certain events have and are taking place. Great stuff Jan and thank you for your help. I will be back!

    Informational
7/03/2010 - Dianne H says: Jan had a lot of good information to impart, and the central theme of her reading was my question, leaving me wishing I'd asked a less specific question, or a different question altogether. Something about my natal chart and the question I asked seemed to take the reading in a direction that didn't leave any room for other interpretations, (Or, the situation is just that simple.) Good job, all in all, Jan.

    Informative, Thorough and Enjoyable
7/07/2010 - Megan H says: This was the first astrology reading I have had done. Jan was wonderful at reading and answering any questions I had afterwards. There were many giggles along the way and by the end of the reading I felt empowered, in place and right on time. Definitely something I will have done again. Thank you! Megan

7/06/2010 - Megan also tweeted: Just got a wonderful astrology reading from @astrogrrl feeling very empowered now. Thank you!

    Perfectly synchronous!
7/03/2010 - Judy H says: Our reading pretty much covered all that have been going on in my life, what I've felt in myself, and what I sense is coming. It's wonderful to have the kind of reassurance that Jan has given me, even her suggestions for how to manifest what I want struck me immediately as solid and sound. She is enthusiastic, articulate, and gave me exactly the reading that I needed. It made my day!!

6/30/2010 - Karolina said: Jan is talented, precise, and informative. I know NOTHING about astrology, and she takes you through the basics with lots of clarity, and no witchy-poo hocus pocus hippie speak. It's like everyday wisdom, and her interpretation of my chart revealed many truths which made sense. She's funny, insightful and the entire process was fun. I recommend Jan's readings as a gift or a gift to yourself. It's so worth it...

    Insightful and Fun
6/18/2010 - Jordan B says: I chose Jan to read my chart because I follow her impeccable blog, which is consistently on-time and on-point. She told me all the specifics during my reading, but it was exciting to hear what were her intuitive perceptions of my particular chart in regards to my inner life and career/purpose. It's always nice to get a reading from an educated astrologist who is passionate about the field, and it's lovely when he or she is able to convey very helpful information that comes from the heart.

    Planet interpretation
5/23/2010 - Mashael M. says: I loved the reading, it was informative, clear and she explained many things. I like the fact that she was prompt and that she followed up the reading with an e-mail.

    New Phase
2/6/2010 - Hayley C says: THANK YOU so much Jan! I loved your reading, it made me realise a lot of things about myself, and i'm looking forward to some of the dates you told me about. After your first reading for me you were spot on with everything you told me- so after my second reading i am looking forward to my new phase, and a big year :)

I was a non-believer in astrology at first. However after a reading with Jan It blew my mind our accurate she was. She was very precise and I was very comfortable with her reading of me. I first found her through astrogrrl.com and have been a subscriber since. She answered my question and explained them to me with her great use of analogies and her creative wit. I highly recommend anyone who wants to get some unanswered questions answered to get in touch with her. ASAP. All the best.‎

Jan's Cancer-Capricorn eclipse reading for me was phenomenal. Every aspect she shared was so right on with what I have been and am currently experiencing. It helped me to make sense of the lunacy I have been enduring. It also gave me insight into the energies that are coming up which will synchronistically support the plans I have already made. I am excited to see how this eclipse series completes itself for me. And, I am looking forward to having Jan do another eclipse reading for me at the end of 2010. I told her that I don't ever want to lose touch with her! I highly recommend her to everyone. You will be thrilled!‎

A Star among Stars (and moons and planets)‎

Jan is great (at chart-reading and in general). I've never had my chart read before I went to her, so I had a lot of questions that she patiently and thoroughly answered during our first session. (Yes, I went back. How could I not, after recognizing her accuracy and observations in my daily life?) She went step-by-step through the terminology of my chart as well as its implications. And, then, when I went for a follow-up, six months later, she remembered what we'd talked about and was able to show me how the stars and planets had moved and what that meant for me. Her attention to detail and her individual attention was really appreciated. I can tell she takes a lot of time to prepare for her readings and to make thoughtful comments about what she sees. I recommend her to anyone interested in astrology. You won't be disappointed.‎

I recently had a reading with Jan and it blew my mind! She has a genuine love of the art of astrology and it shows in her work. She was right on target with every aspect of my being and had great things to say about what I should be working on in a way that was not too forceful but thoughtful and genuine. Jan did my very first chart reading and she went above and beyond what I expected. I really cant say enough about her professionalism and natural talent. I give her my full recommendation and I will be going back to her again and again. Love her!‎

    Jan is amazing!!!‎

First of all let me say that I am a very very very sensitive person and the slightest bit of bad energy freaks me out - especially when it comes to someone reading me. And I have felt so comfortable, warm and cared for each time Jan has read me and I look forward to every time I speak with her!! She has read my chart several times and not only has she been very accurate but she has been a guidepost and light to my journey which I have been desperate to find. Jan is clear, concise, and very intuitive. What I also think is amazing is that she stresses what is important for me to work on - not just what is great about me. I looooove her!!!! I recommend her with my whole heart and I think she has an amazing gift. I am so excited to go back!! PS She is also super sweet which is a wonderful and very likeable trait. Go to Jan!!‎

8/7/2009 - Kathy tweeted: Got an astrology reading from @astrogrrl yesterday! She did a great job! Turns out Saturn is a real ball buster! I better learn my lessons!
