True to his reputation as the fastest moving planet in the zodiac, Mercury swiftly leaves the sensitive Cancerian waters for the Lion's magnanimous fortitude. After his two-week stint in Cancer, Mercury enters Leo on July 17 at 7:07 p.m. Eastern, where he remains until August 2.

Mercury governs our mental activities, way of communicating, and how we move from one place to another. The zodiac sign Leo is ruled by the Sun and is bold, courageous, loyal, dramatic, social, confident, and generous.

  • July 30 & 31 ~ Mercury oppose Jupiter, Chiron & Neptune; and quincunx Uranus. Being pragmatic may be challenging. Our minds are busy and restless. Expect the unexpected. Discerning "truth" may elude us as we seek balance between what we perceive as true and what in actuality are truths. The key is balance. Continue to work towards it and clarity will follow. Those born between February 12 to 17, March 13 to 18, May 13 to 18, August 16 to 21, and November 15 to 20 may feel the influence of this alignment more strongly.
